The event filled up within half an hour of opening, showcasing the enthusiasm of our golfing community. 192 players enjoyed gorgeous weather on our beautiful course, making it a day to remember. Brendan a long-term member of Narooma Golf Club's, daughter Courtney battles lupus and chronic kidney disease. After countless hospital visits and a critical emergency, she was diagnosed and underwent dialysis before a successful kidney transplant in February 2023. Recently, lupus attacked her new kidney, and she continues her fight with new treatments. Last year, Courtney’s joy at the rally was priceless. This year, Narooma Golf Club proudly display our logo on the rally car, tackling the dirt tracks of NSW and SA to raise awareness and funds for Kidney Health Australia. Our No 1 Course Superintendent Scott, spotted his first whale breach of the season this morning. Keep an eye out next time you are here. Humpbacks are the main species you will see off the NSW coastline, as well as southern right whales, and sometimes even blue whales, minkes and orcas (killer whales). They start their swim north around May and June, and then start making their southbound journey from around August to November.
